We welcome cruise ship visitors to our city

The Majestic Princess and Grand Princess are scheduled to visit on December 16th and 17th respectively, and Port Lincoln is looking forward to welcoming all visitors to our city.

Axel Stenross Maritime Museum will be open from 9am – 4.30pm on both days and will be offering a discounted entry fee of $8 per adult to all visitors. Visiting the museum is a great way to learn about the maritime history of Port Lincoln and the growth of its iconic fishing industry.

There are a number of ways that cruise ship visitors can arrive at Axel Stenross Maritime Museum:

  • Some will take the opportunity to stretch their legs and enjoy the 20-30 minute walk along the Parnkalla Trail. This gives a great view of Boston Bay and passes the site of the First Landing of European settlers in the Port.
  • Some will choose to share an economical taxi ride from the foreshore  – easy to get and only a 5 minute ride to the Museum.
  • The guided Hop On Hop Off bus stops at museums and local tourist spots and will  enable guests to view a variety of Port Lincoln highlights, picking up/dropping off approximately every hour.
  • Some will have booked on a tour such as EP Bus Charters Seafood Story. This tour incorporates a visit to Axel Stenross Maritime Museum, along with other sites.
