Our Museum re-opens

Re-opening of Axel Stenross Maritime Museum

Following SA Government latest announcements regarding easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we are re-opening our Museum on Saturday 6th June 2020, from 1.00pm to 4.30pm.  Opening hours will continue as normal, being Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday 9.30am to 4.30pm, Saturday & public holidays 1.00pm to 4.30pm.

SA Government Step 2 easing restrictions

Step 2 allows for opening of the Museum with adherence to social distancing( 1 person per 4sqm) and  all other directives regarding hygiene practices, cleaning and sanitising to protect the safety of our volunteers and the public. We have a limit of 20 persons per room/gallery space( subject to the 1 person per 4sqm rule) at any one time within this framework. All of course is subject to change based on the latest health advice. We urge you to keep up to date through your Government recommended trusted sources of information.

We are really looking forward to welcoming visitors again, and showing you our wonderful Museum. Rest assured we are taking great care with hygiene and sanitation measures to protect you and ourselves, and make your experience special.
